Currently, Argentina is the fifth largest wine-producing country in the world, with a very strong domestic market, combined with a growing international market. Of all the New World wine producing countries, Argentina continues to change at a rapid pace, both in terms of regionality and grape varietal production.

With decreasing reliance on bulk wine for the local market and improvement in quality of its wines, particularly Malbec, it can look forward to future success on the international market for high quality wines.
