- Riesling Eden Valley 2017, Powell & Son, Barossa
Riesling Eden Valley 2017, Powell & Son, Barossa
Tasting notes
Fresh and limey, intense and rich in the mouth, especially impressive at this low alcohol level. Weight and depth but also a great freshness and a sort of oily minerality in its weight. Not overly fruity but has power and precision and length. Firm texture and just avoiding phenolics. A good match with oysters or sushi. This is a serious Riesling. (J.H. - Jancis Robinson; 2016 vintage: tasted 4/10/17)

Expert's View
“When at room temperature, as preferred, this wine is absolutely extraordinary, my favourite and one of the great dry Rieslings of the world, coming from the Flaxman area of the Eden Valley.“ ~ Clear Wine Co's Wine Expert
