Domaine Michel Vire Clesse 2019 Tradition, Maconnais, Burgundy
Tasting notes
Big and ripe, this rich wine offers a good combination of spice and tropical fruits. It is bold, smooth and creamy. Deliciously ripe, it's ready to drink. (R.V. - Wine Enthusiast; 2015 vintage; tasted 1/11/2017)

Expert's View
“It’s a place that’s known to make some of the richer more flamboyant white wines of all of Burgundy. René Michel gets results not far off from wines such as Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault, and Chassagne-Montrachet. His wines have got lovely style, are quite dramatic wines, a lovely structured drink. Chilled they are absolutely brilliant there’s so much flavour and texture and personality and detail. Coming to room temperature they become more and more flamboyant and dramatic and exciting. it’s quite amazing when a small family domain from the small villages of Viré-Clessé hits the top list of the best estates in France – marvellous to see.” ~ Clear Wine Co's Wine Expert
