Bierzo Mencia Tinto Roble 2013, Legado de Farro, Castilla y Leon

Very vivid ruby red colour and medium body. On the nose you can see aromas of ripe fruit, fine wood and spices. Fresh and soft with all the traditional features of a Mencía. (Producer’s notes).

Expert's View
“Legado de Farro are making decent wine that is really affordable and accessible and that’s a greater boom for the consumer. All of the wines from Bierzo are really, really well priced and something you could drink every day if you wanted to and certainly every week. The reds are bright. The wine’s got a nice personality. It tastes like the really good wines of Bierzo with that heaviness without that obvious oak note. A lot of top cuvées from ‘macho’ winemakers veer towards heaviness and obvious techniques - these guys avoid that entirely.” ~ Clear Wine Co's Wine Expert
