Hermitage Rouge 2007, Tardieu-Laurent, North Rhone
Tasting notes
Very deep, dark red ruby. Rich, stony, deep, spicy, earthy, leafy, perfumed on the nose. This is earthy, fresh, fine and has hints of red/black fruits, chocolate, and a touch of smoke and herbs and spices. Beautiful balance. Sweet, rich. Superb length, fresh, elegant and fully resolved tannins. A classic, complex northern Rhone Syrah from a blend of several of the great terroirs on the Hermitage hill. From vines around 50 years old. (D.H., 2004 vintage)
