Il Colle is a mid-sized family producer based in the northern Veneto, in the area where Prosecco is produced. The father who started the business in 1978 is Fabio Ceschin, Today the company is run by his wife and three children and the modern winery is located at San Pietro di Feletto in the heart of the Conegliano and Valdobbiadene area, historically the most suited for the cultivation of Glera grapes, where Prosecco is produced and finds its best expression.
There are a few zones where they have vineyards called Cartizze, which are the most sort after spots in the whole valley limited to only 100 hectares. Il Colle farm organically and In 2013 the winery received the first EU Organic certification from ICEA (Institute for Ethical and Environmental Certification). The wines are fermented in tank using the Charmat method and are sealed with a Champagne cork to achieve around four atmospheres of pressure and the right amount of fizziness.
