Founded in 1958, Cantina Terre del Barolo is a large co-operative located in the Langhe hills of the Barolo region of Tuscany, and one of the most historic cooperative wineries still active in Piedmont. In the last 15 years a new generation has arrived in the technical and chief executive positions and have looked into the future quality, not only quality but price. They have put the Arnold Rivera name forward in homage to the founder of Terre del Barolo.
The co-operative has identified the most famous land and has incentivized the owners of that land to join a higher quality special programme of sustainable farming. They have built a new entire line of the winery with a new fermentation area and new large-sized casks of French oak. This is a five to ten year experiment launching the first label in 2013.
