Barolo "Boiolo" 2013, Arnaldo Rivera, Piemonte
Tasting notes
Mid ruby with bricky rim. Luxurious, but composed nose of red fruit and soft oak notes and perfectly integrated oak and fruit on the palate. Long sweet-sour cherry fruit with tightly built, mouth-filling tannins. Succulent yet gripping finish and while tannic, striking a great balance. When to drink: 2017 to 2028. (W.S. – Jancis Robinson; 2013 vintage; tasted May 2017)

Expert's view
“Some of the wines that Clear Wine will be listing and selling are the first releases after the trial phase, a huge marvellous high point for launching. In the very first release in 2013, they hit the Wine Spectator ‘Top 100’ wines of the world - really good wines with a decent amount available. There’s not rarity and fitness to become commercially viable wines, but what they have got is exciting – a great accolade.” ~ Clear Wine Co's, Wine Expert
