Expert's View
“Chateau La Gontrie lets the wine, the terroir and the vintage shine through. Claret you could drink every day with lunch , but also a wine you could keep for five or eight years and let it mature and see where it goes. Lovely, poised medium weight not too heavy, without too much make-up of new oak, drinkable, capable of short to mid-term ageing. The Merlot there is seductive – a still perennially popular side of Bordeaux.” ~ Clear Wine Co's Wine Expert
