“This Gavi di Gavi is a fine example of one of the most popular fresh everyday white wines. It’s always very lemony and fresh and zesty, the kind of wine where you are sitting with a glass and everyone is talking at the table - just a nice glass of wine as an aperitif. You drink it cold, but then also ever so slightly warmer towards room temperature and savour it and really enjoy its complexity and detail, and its finesse. It’s that lovely duality of a wine that’s a quaffer and is also worthy of contemplation.
